when we were moving this past weekend, my mom dropped the mercury thermometer out of the freezer and it shattered. i'd never gotten to play with mercury before, so i figured i might take a couple shots of it. although the macro feature on my camera kinda sucks, this one turned out decent. it's awesome how it just flies across the floor when you barely touch it. 8)

Just so y'all know, mercury can be absorbed through the skin and through through it's vapor as well, so it's pretty toxic regardless how you handle it. Do as you will, just sayin'. XD
